With poker straight hair, contrasting shoes and chunky accessories she really looks like a star – and so could you!

Rihanna

Rihanna might be used to jumping around the stage, but she looked smart and sophisticated at the 2012 Grammy Awards. Her black plunging dress with a low-cut back was ideal for the red carpet and the gold accessories completed her daring (yet somehow classy) look! If you don’t fancy wearing anything quite as revealing, simply choose a black gown you feel comfortable in and complete your look with some sparkly jewellery.

Beyoncé

You might think that dress trails should be reserved for proms and balls, but Beyoncé proved they can be popular at any time of the year. She wore a spectacular Givenchy Haute Couture frock at the Costume Institute Gala Benefit 2012 and certainly caught the attention of the press. While the bodice was tight and revealing, the purple feathered tail added something a little special. Of course, this particular look might be a little extreme for a Valentine’s meal, but there’s no harm in trying something different.
