Bluer than velvet was the night, softer than satin was the light, from the stars.

001 hello peaches, today i thought i would share with you lush's valentines day collection because it is utterly perfect! i shall first tell you about the product i am most excited about and that is the kiss lip gloss. although, i'm a little disappointed the packaging wasn't gustav klimt 'the kiss' inspired, which i thought it was when i was initially told about it, it has quickly become one of my favourite things for mark and mo to have invented. i was pleasantly surprised by this product since it smells really lovely and is not sticky unlike every other lip gloss i have tried before. a part of me is really irritated that i have not photographed it on because it's so pretty, but another part of me does not want to ruin the surprise. so i would definitely recommend you skip to your local lush and give it a try, its a beautiful whipped formula that applies really easily and conditions the lips as well. it's also packed with some really beautiful ingredients i would never have expected such as mandarin and almond oil, fair trade shea and cupuacu butter. at £5.50 you might be thinking it is a little more expensive than many high street lip products however, these little pots go a very long way as i know charlene wholeheartedly agrees with to.

002 my second favourite product is the 'tender is the night' massage bar, okay so the name reminds me of something an elvis presley impersonator might sing in a sleazy bar (sorry lush!), but the smell and formula is utterly incredible. i have no idea how i ought to tell you how this smells because i just want to say that it's asdfghjklamazing, perhaps just give me a minute to compose myself? okay... *composed* somewhere amongst the moisturising goodness of the butters and oils they have managed to fit in the most incredible doses vanilla and jasmine absolute to give it a sweet marshmallow like smell. if you like lucky charms, marshmallows, macaroons and sweets you'll definitely want to eat this as much as i do! they have 100% perfected the formula as well, it's so easily to melt in your hands you really do not need much.

003 third is the willow pattern soap which smells like turkish delight, which reminds me of the lion the witch and the wardrobe book my papa used to read to me, therefore i love it. it has a really lovely and dreamy smell to, whilst being pleasantly moisturising and softening.

004 unfortunately the last product is one i do not care too much for however, just because the smell is not particularly sugary or sweet. from dusk til dawn is a massage bar for those who like fresh citrus smells, since its packed with sweet wild orange oil and sicilian lemon oil. it is not at 'smooshable' as tender is the night however, the shape is amazing for undoing knots and any other tense points you might have.

  5. I always love how Lush products look and these are no exception. Not having a bath in my flat slightly takes the fun out of a pamper sessions (curse you student housing) so I might have to stock up on some of these and gate crash the other half's house to use his bath!
